Cromarty Community Action Group has now appointed its Development
Officer to work for Cromarty. He is Malcom McKean, who is Chair
of Invergordon Community Council and Secretary of Invergordon
Business Association. Malcolm started his new post on 1 February
and is based in the office at the Cromarty Centre in Burnside
Place.
Malcolm is currently meeting as many Cromarty folk and organisations as possible to explain his new role and to find out more about local priorities. In the near future, he will be working with the Cromarty Community Action Group to finalise an Action Plan for community economic development.

It is one of a series of posts in the Ross and Cromarty Area being created to take forward the priorities of the Community Economic Development Programme. The bulk of the funding for this programme comes from the European Union's transitional funding for the Highlands and Islands.
The Cromarty Community Action Group (CCAG) is chaired by Ronald Young with Alaex Davidson as Vice-Chair, Jenny Gunn as Secretary and Sandy Thomson as Treasurer. Also on the Committee are Gillian Jones, Alan Hunter, Donna Henderson, Ginny Hourston and Jaki Shewan.
